(02) Day by day
Days 1–4 · Sossusvlei
Climb the red dunes before sunrise and sleep at a camp with an open roof and no light for fifty kilometres.
Days 5–8 · Skeleton Coast
A light aircraft follows the coast north, where the dunes meet the sea and shipwrecks sit in the sand.
Days 9–12 · Damaraland
Track desert-adapted elephants on foot with a Himba-born guide, then end with a long lunch in the shade.
